Stephanie Payne, PA-C
Stephanie has been practicing medicine since 2007. She spent 6.5 years working in family practice and did a short stint in urgent care before joining Dr. Rosemary Bates’ practice in July of 2014. Before becoming a PA, she was an echocardiographer, working in a private cardiology clinic for almost 10 years.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of North Texas in Denton and ultimately obtained a graduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Missouri State University.
Stephanie maintains her PA certification with the NCCPA (National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants) and her echocardiographic certification through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers). She also retains membership in professional associations such as the AAPA (American Academy of Physician Assistants), TAPA (Texas American Academy of Physician Assistants) and the ADA (American Diabetes Association).
Stephanie enjoys nurturing strong, lasting relationships with her patients and looks forward to developing new ones.
Stephanie’s outside interests include cardio kickboxing, weightlifting, spending time with family and friends and she is also a professional singer. She is currently involved in a musical project that plays in the DFW area on a regular basis.
Michelle Mersmann, NP
Michelle Mersmann, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), has been in the nursing field in the north Dallas area since 2009 and has been happy to provide Primary Care as an FNP since 2014.
Michelle is currently board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Additionally she has completed training in medically supervised weight loss, aesthetic procedures and bio-identical hormone replacement pellet therapy.
Michelle graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington. She attended Texas Women’s University for her Masters in Nursing degree.
Michelle focuses on prevention, wellness and helping the patient to be autonomous in their own health maintenance. She looks forward to seeing you here in the office and helping you with your healthcare needs.
Taylor Powers, NP
As the newest member of our team, Taylor Powers, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is accepting new patients as well as caring for established ones. Taylor graduated from Vanderbilt University and joined our practice in 2022. Taylor is currently board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Additionally she has completed training in medically supervised weight loss and a variety of aesthetic procedures.
Originally from Florida, Taylor enjoys the outdoors and when she isn’t working she spends her time traveling and getting involved at her church. Taylor is passionate about delivering individualized care with compassion so that all patients leave feeling listened to and properly cared for.
Dr. Bates and the entire team of PAs/NPs work in close collaboration as part of a complete team to provide thorough, personalized medical care with a focus on wellness, prevention and optimal health.
